The Northern Light palette, curated by Edinburgh interior designer Jessica Buckley with Edward Bulmer.
As part of the palette, two new off-white shades, Edinburgh White and Edinburgh White Light, have been created to complement this selection of beautiful, rich colours for any setting. The warm, earth pigmented undertones of both these whites counterbalance our cool blue-grey daylight to ensure a warm and comfortable atmosphere. They can be used separately or teamed together to achieve a subtle contrast in tone.
The Northern Light Palette takes the guess work away from decorating rooms which don’t have the benefit of abundant natural light: north-facing rooms, basement rooms or any room where the quality of natural light is diffuse and cool. Selected by Jessica with Edward, a selection of twelve different hues means that there is the perfect blue, red, green, brown, yellow and even white, to suit.

We have spent years perfecting our pioneering plant-based paints and we are proud of the product we have created using gentle chemistry and a lot of dedication to making a more sustainable paint! We believe we are pioneers in creating natural paints using plant-based ingredients instead of petrochemical derived products.
Unlike many other paint brands, what’s in our tins is on our tins! We declare all of our ingredients, read our full list of ingredients and learn more about how our paint is made.
We use our local courier service called APC which is based in Hereford. APC operates franchises throughout the country and we can deliver parcels throughout the UK on an overnight service.
We are not able to offer returns, as all of our paint is mixed to order and therefore is a bespoke product.
NB: We will accept returns of non bespoke products which include preparatory products.

Excellent customer service! Emma was so incredibly helpful with her colour consultancy advice and always very quick at getting back to all my queries. I love the finished result from using Lilac Pink on the walls and Spanish White on the ceiling. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
The A5 colour samples were very useful and the paint is a real pleasure to apply – no smell and the lighter colour covers even the dark red walls very well with the first coat. Also very impressed with the bamboo brushes – certainly the best I have used.
I will never use anything except Bulmer paint again, I have to say. Plus I have no idea why the decorator forums made it sound so difficult! If it’s within my capabilities, it’s within anyone’s!
The thing I’ve always loved about Edward Bulmer Natural Paint is that it’s not just a flat finish, it has a real resonance to it. About to use this colour…can’t wait ! Children are going to help paint too as its safe and chemical free. Am expecting it to be messy though !
