I admit to this being a made up name from an old painter’s bill charging to ‘wash, stop and paint three times in oil’. It seemed an enticing way to describe a colour like washing up water, given that it is actually an elegant, subtle grey, with a touch of lavender. This multi tonal colour is made from a carefully curated combination of natural and earth pigments, a process which is kind to nature. We recommend using Wash Stop for walls or trim.
It is my first time to decorate my home, I wasn’t sure if everything would go to plan , we were impressed there’s almost odourless, my 3 year old was with me the whole day and was quite happy to jump in and paint with me. I was pleased to see how easy the paint can be wash off on her little hands. The result speaks itself, my room is now completely transformed, I will select more colours from Edward Bulmer when the house is done, their colours can certainly lift up the whole house, highly recommended.

I have just finished painting my bathroom in Azurite and had to tell you, although you obviously already know … the best emulsion I have ever used, stunning results and the coverage is amazing, only needed one coat! I used your interior eggshell a couple of years ago and that was heaven to use too …
First, the Drawing room. Huge success. Your tones are praised to the skies and the cheers are unanimous. The shades are uplifting and inspiring and the two affianced couples that have been around were happy at the “blank canvas” the walls gave them.
Invisible green is the colour of confidence, equally at ease in grand rooms and humble nests. It’s the perfect shade of calm and joy – and who doesn’t need that in their lives? My lovely decorators are always happy to see the tins appear, but I’m also an impulsive colour changer, especially in my children’s …
The thing I’ve always loved about Edward Bulmer Natural Paint is that it’s not just a flat finish, it has a real resonance to it. That’s especially true of Header, with its softness and warmth – you can almost feel the movement of light within it. It’s the perfect backdrop for our showroom, where it …
I love Edward Bulmer’s Natural Paints, which are made entirely from natural pigments in superb heritage colour ranges.

Please check our practical painting advice - if you are painting onto a very absorbent surface, you may need more paint, and for best results, you may need to prime your surfaces.
