Turkish stone as the French named the gem, was not actually originally from Turkey but the country was no doubt the trade route by which it first came to Europe. It remains a universally loved colour and has a vitality which is hard to beat. It can be created with Prussian blue and so began to become popular after the publication of a recipe for the pigment in 1724. We have kept the natural pigment recipe simple to produce a clear, vibrant colour as true to the gem as to the name and which is kind to nature too!
Perfection!! Simply stunning!

We have spent years perfecting our pioneering plant-based paints and we are proud of the product we have created using gentle chemistry and a lot of dedication to making a more sustainable paint! We believe we are pioneers in creating natural paints using plant-based ingredients instead of petrochemical derived products.
Unlike many other paint brands, what’s in our tins is on our tins! We declare all of our ingredients, read our full list of ingredients and learn more about how our paint is made.
We use our local courier service called APC which is based in Hereford. APC operates franchises throughout the country and we can deliver parcels throughout the UK on an overnight service.

“Very sensual and sophisticated. Thanks for sending colour chart!”
I just wanted to say what a pleasure it is using your material, especially the eggshell which is a lovely paint to work with.
I have just finished painting my bathroom in Azurite and had to tell you, although you obviously already know … the best emulsion I have ever used, stunning results and the coverage is amazing, only needed one coat! I used your interior eggshell a couple of years ago and that was heaven to use too …
We have created this calculator to help you estimate the amount of paint you will need for your project. Please note that this is only an estimate, based on normal surfaces with two coats of paint.
Please check our practical painting advice - if you are painting onto a very absorbent surface, you may need more paint, and for best results, you may need to prime your surfaces.
If you end up with any leftover paint, get inspired with ways to use any excess paint - it's even compostable!
