We combine our natural base paint with different combinations of our 12 natural and earth pigments. As the name implies there is a grey white cast to this shade, made with a hint of black and the classic earth pigments, yellow ochre and raw umber. This colour looks ultra-chic with our range of greys, now much in vogue for urban living.
It sounds silly, but it’s difficult to find a great white, just because the choice is endless, but for us Silver White, with its touch of grey is extremely versatile.

We have spent years perfecting our pioneering plant-based paints and we are proud of the product we have created using gentle chemistry and a lot of dedication to making a more sustainable paint! We believe we are pioneers in creating natural paints using plant-based ingredients instead of petrochemical derived products.
Unlike many other paint brands, what’s in our tins is on our tins! We declare all of our ingredients, read our full list of ingredients and learn more about how our paint is made.
We use our local courier service called APC which is based in Hereford. APC operates franchises throughout the country and we can deliver parcels throughout the UK on an overnight service.

I knew I wanted to paint the ceiling yellow the minute I saw this room, and specifically this colour, Naples Yellow. it is the most hopeful and happiest colour, and makes me think of Positano beach umbrellas – particularly as I can see the sea from the window. It’s my bedroom ceiling, so it’s …
As background, the house is a fairly undistinguished 1960s house, so it lacks interesting features, but it has large windows and it’s very light. For this reason we chose Ochre for the main room, which is our sitting room. It faces east, so on a good day the sun comes streaming through the windows in …
I’ve always had this mantra that you should live and work with what you love so as a designer I felt a real connection with Edward Bulmer’s transformative paints. We both see colour as a vital necessity – the essential raw ingredient. I’d fallen in love with Cuisse de Nymphe Emue – a pink that …
I love the colour because it is so warm and charming, winter had our blue bedroom feeling cold and dreary, but the combination of Hespan, Red Ochre and Fine Green has turned the space into a cosy haven! It’s vibrant yet oh-so-snug, and I’m really enjoying spending time in the room again. It’s a statement colour which is still …
My parents’ lounge has just been painted in Brimstone – the colour looks wonderful, and it has made such a difference to the room and to how much we all enjoy being in it! Our decorator had not used Edward Bulmer paint before and was very impressed with its quality.
