Hawtrey was the family name of the builders of Chequers, the Prime Minister’s country house. It is fitted out with oak and holly panelling that gives the rooms a tobacco warmth. This shade was mixed to complement the woodwork and is heavily dependent on earth pigments, so it is warmly muddy and very comforting.
It is a good complementary shade as it will flatter all other colours and provide a really accommodating background to fabrics, furniture and artworks.

Our Water Based Eggshell has a satin finish with 20% sheen so still has a softness to it. Perfect for woodwork and metalwork this finish is easy to apply. Sold in 1 and 2.5-litre tins.
Our Water Based Gloss is our highest satin product with an 80% sheen. This product is perfect for interior and exterior woodwork and metalwork with a durable finish. Sold in 1 and 2.5-litre tins.

We use our local courier service called APC which is based in Hereford. APC operates franchises throughout the country and we can deliver parcels throughout the UK on an overnight service.
We are not able to offer returns, as all of our paint is mixed to order and therefore is a bespoke product.
NB: We will accept returns of non bespoke products which include preparatory products.
