The name is literally descriptive of the colour of the oxidised surface of copper and bronze. A beautiful Prussian blue based green with an underlying earthy tone but a wonderful radiance. It was an expensive and sought after colour in the early C19th and recurs in many colourman’s catalogues. When creating colours we are inspired by these natural weathering processes, but also inspired by the richness and uniqueness of natural and plant-based ingredients – we will never use anything else!
We wanted a paint that was multi-facetted and felt unusual without being shouty; something mercurial and complex to suit the character of the building and the people who pass through the doors - Verdigris is complicated in the best possible way: green / blue / light / dark / cold / warm - difficult to pin down and therefore never boring.

Our Water Based Gloss is our highest satin product with an 80% sheen. This product is perfect for interior and exterior woodwork and metalwork with a durable finish. Sold in 1 and 2.5-litre tins.

The A5 colour samples were very useful and the paint is a real pleasure to apply – no smell and the lighter colour covers even the dark red walls very well with the first coat. Also very impressed with the bamboo brushes – certainly the best I have used.
Still much to do on the house. It is happening very ‘organically’ shall we say. But it looks fab in its progression and we’re very happy. The paint never goes unnoticed!
