Perhaps not the bluest white that milk can sometimes be, but this shade has a lovely warm ‘maternal’ feel so hence the name! This colour is perfect for a modern, fresh kitchen space or hidden hallway. Our paints are kind to nature and kind to all properties, they do not cost the earth and they allow the walls to breathe.
Milk White is available in lighter shades, 60%, 40% and 20% lighter shades of the original colour.
Recently I bought a house for the first time and wanted to re decorate before I moved in. My priority was to find non toxic paints, and also to find colours that I felt happy with. At first I was not sure I would find both. After much research I chose Edward Bulmer paints. They are both completely and transparently non toxic, and beautiful pigments. I chose milk white and they are the most happy peaceful beautiful tones. I absolutely love the results in my house, and the paints look and feel amazing. Also the whole team at the Chelsea Edward Bulmer store were soo helpful, patient, and helped guide me with colours, and every order came promptly. I would only use Edward Bulmer paints in the future. I cannot recommend them more highly!

The first colour I knew I wanted to use was ‘Invisible Green’ by Edward Bulmer in the drawing room. I realised that I’ve never met a bright green room I don’t love, yet I rarely use the colour. This is the green of Babar’s coat – a shade that goes with so much, as it …
I think that what I am trying to say about Edward Bulmer colours is that they are quite startling in their complexity – it’s almost as if they are alive.
I went for Red Orchre 5 Litres and hoped that it won’t look too dark and sits well with my existing furniture, it turned out the best decision I made this year for the house, the colour it beautiful and the quality is second to none.
A big thank you for suggesting ceiling colour and going darker with the Eau de Nile – I absolutely love it all! The house feels amazing.
I just wanted to say what a pleasure it is using your material, especially the eggshell which is a lovely paint to work with.
We have created this calculator to help you estimate the amount of paint you will need for your project. Please note that this is only an estimate, based on normal surfaces with two coats of paint.
Please check our practical painting advice - if you are painting onto a very absorbent surface, you may need more paint, and for best results, you may need to prime your surfaces.
